Harper's Inner self

Prime Minister Stephen Harper recently declared:

"I actually do think we are in a rare period, one that as an economist I didn't think we would see again in my lifetime, where deficits are not only necessary but actually advised".

And somewhere buried deep inside him, a little Hayekian Harper was screaming "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!"

No, it wasn't. Power has corrupted him absolutely.

As Prime Minister Stephen Harper would tell you arm chair pundits..."Walk a mile in my shoes".

I would like to walk a mile in his shoes but after all the debt the Canadian and Ontario governments have saddled me with I think I will be going barefoot in the future.

Gerry, it's painfully obvious Harper has been "assimilated" by our political system. Being a lousy political strategist and worse salesman, he had to say things that caused him a great deal of pain mentally. He attenuated his beliefs to reduce this pain (a task made easier by the rubbery nature of the baseless philosophy called "conservatism") and bit by bit, he has become what he is now. He's gone.
Which is where you come in Gerry. Why don't you run as an independent in association with other libertyphiles such as Ezra Levant? His delusional faith in the CPC has been waning as of late. Threaten him if you must. Just think of the look on PMSH's face when you show up to the local riding's candidates debate.

Why haven't real fiscal conservatives like myself screamed at this PC/COR/Reform/Alliance/Conservative nonsense?

Where have you people been? Didn't you see it all coming?

It was all built on dreams. Now the nightmares!

What he didn't say though was the deficits were not advised for the economy just his political future.
