Promoting Freedom In Windsor

I know it’s a little late to be posting this, but I want to mention the Windsor Liberty Seminar which I spoke at on March 11.

Congratulations to Matt Bufton and Janet Neilson who organized this wonderful seminar in the heart of NDP/Liberal country.

My topic was “Promoting a Freedom Agenda”.

That's a picture of me at the seminar trying to look like I know what I am talking about.

Always interesting seminars. I think the problem is Canadians are not naturally libertarian like Americans are, our tradition stems more from the British tradition of peace, order, and good government rather than life, liberty, and security. Essentially these think tanks have to show libertarian ideas work rather than promoting them for ideological reasons.

Also Windsor is more NDP than Liberal/NDP territory. The closest the Liberals got to Windsor was London which is a good two hour drive I believe while the Tories didn't win in Windsor proper, but took every riding between Windsor and London, so one only has to drive 20 minutes from downtown Windsor to be into Conservative territory.
