Winning the War of Ideas

I have a little bit of work ahead of me.

The Democracy Institute has commissioned me to write an analysis of conservatism in Canada.

More specifically, they want me suggest ways in which Canadian conservatives can win the war of ideas in this country.

Sounds like fun!

I would like to give a special thanks to the John Dobson Foundation for its generous financial support which helped make this project happen.

... 1) Don't talk numbers, talk principles. To most people, a million is the same as a billion.
... 2) Don't talk personalities, talk principles. Stay on the high road.
... 3) Don't talk policies, until we have established the central principle- the role of the state.
... 3) Don't talk morality, talk economics... where to apply the force of the state in moral issues is a big ugly grey area... stick to clean and clear economics.
... 4) Good luck!

... and 5) Don't talk "Canadian" conservatism, principles are universal and timeless.

Gerry I can help you out on this.
Conservatives are not so much rational individuals as they are a functioning arm to an economic system that has the dominating hegonomic force in dictating our "individualism". Their the metaphysical seat fillers that do not contemplate the meaning of what they do. lol!
For else why would they progress the systemization of our labor forces into a system that has no recognition of individuals or the enviroment... Mankind itself.
It's just another example of a system we created grabbing us by the balls! IE: religion back in the day.
BTW what does the term freedom mean to you?
