Dion's Delusions

I have a column in the Sun media chain today asking the question: Are the Liberals suffering from some sort of collective delusional disorder?

And by that I mean, they are acting even more delusional than usual.

Permit me to play the devil's advocate here for a moment.

Yes, the Obama-effect is certainly a delusional election strategy for a Canadian Liberal but if we take it out of the equation, where does that put the prospects of Liberal success in a Fall election?

The Liberals still have a lot of support from Canadians -- why, I have no idea, but they do. The actual reason why does not matter.

Please can someone tell me what is going through the minds of those in Ontario and Quebec who when polled gave Dion a 9 point lead over Harper?? The level of gullibility is literally breath- taking. The Libs are as ruthless and unconscionable as ever...as in the ethics committee hearings. Unfortunately mosr Canadians are not paying attention. It just baffles me that all this can be going on under their noses and they enable it by ignoring it.

Maybe we could get Dion, the citizen of france to comment on the sale of anti-semetic tshirts in his mother country. That would buy votes from the jewish community.

Actually I see some similarity between Obama and Dion: they're both empty suits. Obama just goes to a better drycleaner.

Gerry,

I read your column, I agree with it, but I must take exception to your title... "Is Dion getting delusional".

I don't think the word 'getting' is required. I think he's been there for quite a while.

... "actually emitting rays of anti-charisma".
... Gerry, you are a wild man.

... Prediction: Mr. Dion will step down in the next few weeks, in order to delay Mr. Harper triggering a fall election.
... Then, with his family's wealth behind him, Mr. Rae will take over as leader- the correct choice in the first place.
