Making Polar Bears Cry

Feeling a little green fatigued, I decided someone had to take a stand against nagging environmentalists and politicians.

So I did, with this column which appears in today's Sun Media chain.

I must be getting old!?

The environmental catastrophe du jour yesterday was purple loosestrife, the day before that it was acid rain. Canada still has mosquito breeding grounds and forest fires.

No wonder profiteering experts in wolf-crying chose to re-brand the currently fashionable wave of predominent environmental fearmongering from "global warming" to "climate change" - it seems like just last week they were predicting a pending ice age.

Meanwhile, a mere 5-day weather forecast from Environment Canada still doesn't come with a guarantee of accuracy or refund for taxpayers.
