The news that Justin Trudeau was seeking a Liberal candidacy led me to write the following letter to the editor, which appears in today's National Post:
"Who knows, this could be the first step on a political career that ends up with Justin becoming prime minister, just like his dad. I guess Karl Marx was right when he said, "History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce."

The thought of another Trudeau as Prime Minister is frightening.
Justin Trudeau likely won't become PM. While popular in Ontario and Atlantic Canada, he is reviled in the West and Quebec and you cannot win without winning in one of those two areas, at least not a majority.
I thought it was a great letter Gerry. You got a good dig in, plus co-joined the names Justin Trudeau and Karl Marx in a short, snappy letter. Well done!
