- Gerry Nicholls is a communications consultant and writer who has been called a “political warrior” a “brilliant strategist” and one of the “canniest political observers in Canada.” He has worked as a consultant in both the United States and Canada and was formerly a senior officer in the National Citizens Coalition. I wonder if it was a good idea to quit publicly. If Mr DeSantis did it to have a better chance of finding his next employer, it might have in fact damaged his image.
But thinking what I would do being in his shoes, I really don't know.
