Speaking to Landowners

I had a marvelous time on Saturday meeting the people behind the Ontario Landowners Assocation.

This is an organization dedicated to promoting and protecting one of our most basic freedoms: the right to own private property.

Anyway, they asked me to give a little talk at their annual general meeting held near Shelburne Ontario -- a charming little town.

Here's the text of my talk.

More walkers and false teeth than at a rolling stones concert.

Actually the friendliest people you would ever want to meet ... with rock solid principles.

Glad you hooked up with these exceedingly normal people Gary. They are the last barrier between the private family farm and corporate food mega-production oligopoly. I understand some of these criminals are still using heritage seed instead of GMO monopoly seed. Call out the storm troops!!

It is folks like this who will drive the buy local green directive to environment friendly local organic food production. These are the people who produce the superior natural foods sold at local farmer's markets.

They've remained independent producers in spite of the best efforts of big government and big Agra to run them out of business.

Did you hear any of the horror stories about the supply control Gestapo (marketing boards) and raw whole food producers? These dire criminals who produce organic raw milk, unpasturized honey and ungraded eggs for those who prefer them. You were right in the midst of these desperate scoff-laws ;-)

BTW I understand you picked up some communications work.

There is no evidence that shows organic/local foods are healthier or of higher quality. Corporate GMO food is good food, so long as it isn't Corporatist food ex Marketing Boards.

"GMO food is good food"

And there is no evidence to prove this either because the GMO corps won't allow unbiased 3rd party study
