Punditing the Ontario Election for Macleans

The folks at Macleans.ca asked me to provide a little bit of commentary on the Ontario election.

You will find my pundit wizardry here.

McGuinty - "the charisma of a cabbage?"

Got a thing for vegetables Gerry?

What with Dion having more personality than a carrot and all, and Mr. Cabbage charisma, sounds alot like you're preparing to make Coleslaw.

  2. Would Liberal coleslaw be creamy or vinegar-based?

  3. Hey Anonymous, what do you have an anti-vegetable bias or something?

OK, I admit it the cabbage crack was a little derivative of my carrot crack.

But in my defence I wrote that stuff right after Thanksgiving dinner.

    So cut me some slack.

    Good job, Gerry.

I have had a couple recent letters in Macleans lately -- only, the editors keep editing out my real thoughts on Stephen Harper...

    I wonder why?

No matter because it looks like King Danny of the Rock plans to tell the country just what he thinks of the Canadian PM... probably in the next Federal campaign.

Williams' opinion is more important than mine, of course!

Poor Mr. Harper doesn't likely have a chance in that fight!

I think the "cabbage" and "carrot" analogies are really quite excellent Gerry. I give anon. 2:15 credit for having as much on the ball as you do.

Why not vegetables? I mean we've also heard of late of "puffins", and "lemmings" in reference to Liberals and on another blog the usual reference by the left to right-wing knuckle-draggers.

Oh, and let's not forget the likeness of McGuinty to Norman Bates...the difference being of course that Bates actually kept HIS promises....however gruesome they were.

The Globe and Mail is trying to spin Rodney MacDonald as a better politician than Danny Williams. What an absolute crock!

MacDonald is a gym teacher who cannot hold a marriage together -- let alone a Province! Williams is a Rhodes scholar and one hell of a tough conservative negotiator!

Sorry, about the results on the Ontario election, Gerry. All the candidates struck me as completely boring, however!
