Great idea Gerry, however I think that the best attack would be to continue to Link the Liberals to the Separatist Block and the NDP, via the Coalition. The Liberals should wear this Coalition deal they made untill the next election.
I've said it to Harper's communications director and I hope he passed it on.
The first ads should focus on the fact that Harper did warn in Dec. 2007 that bad times were coming (he said this in an end-of-the-year interview on t.v. and in interviews with the press). In contrast Layton jumped on the Prime Minister and stated that Harper was saying wrongly there was no money in the cupboard in order to avoid environmental expenditures. At the same time Liberal Finance critic John McCallum said Harper was too negative. Later during the election Stéphane Dion said there was nothing in their election platform on the downturn in the economy because they had had no time to put it in.
I never agree with you on anything, but this seems pretty, strike that, very smart.
ReplyDeleteI like it!
ReplyDeleteExcellent idea Gerry.
Now you're making sense.
The NDP, could have been the left wing party of choice, had they supported the party funding cuts.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping that the CPoC, has this strategy you describe, figured out.
Pointing out how dumb the NDP were, seems to be a no-brainer.
