I'm a little surprised at the stat that half the knowledge of a 4 year technical degree is obselete by the third year. I'm curious as to what technical degrees those are.
A traditional engineering degree of any variety consists of mostly math and the foundations of whatever field the program is in (eg. electrical, civil, etc.). All of this information, especially the math, never relaly goes obselete. Very rarely is any kind of current technology taught.
The video implies that in order to stay current and employable the average technical person must essentially stay in school. I'm not sure I believe that.
I did not know That :)
