Btw, US gag laws don't apply in Canada (and vice versa), as I'm sure you know.
So in retrospect, there's nothing stopping an American citizen on a computer south of the border (to advertise online) during a Canadian general election (without violating or breaking any law).
A somewhat similar instance came up when this guy sidestepped a publication ban put in place by Judge Gomery wherein he reported on the testimony given by Jean Brault. Why? Because the ban didn't apply to him as he was a US citizens.
Posting on certain websites in the USA by Canadians have led to persecution by Stalinist star chamber human rights commissions. Visit paulfromm.com for more information.

ReplyDeleteI have virtually no doubt that once our politicians figure out ways on how to limit freedom of expression on the Internet, they will try to do so.
Protecting the Internet for free public discourse should be a very high priority item for true conservatives... guns, on the other hand, not so much!
