The Willing

Every Remembrance Day it's traditional to recite the famous poem "In Flanders Fields".

But here's an anonymous quote more revelant to the current Canadian military situation in Afghanistan:

We the willing, led by the unknowing, doing the impossible for the ungrateful; We've done so much for so long with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

Always liked that saying, I've seen it on the walls of a lot of workplaces too. (real conservative)

    I like that one.

Here's another quote that I have always found inspiring and quite accurate:

"I do not know what is true. I do not know the meaning of the universe. But in the midst of doubt, in the collapse of creeds, there is one thing that I do not doubt... that the faith is true and adorable which leads a soldier to throw away his life in obedience to a blindly accepted duty, in a cause which he little understands, in a plan of campaign of which he has little notion, under tactics of which he does not see the use."

Thank you, Canadian veterans, for your sacrifice and bravery!
