If you're suggesting that PM Harper = Hugo Chavez - you are officially an airhead who has no clue what a real dictatorship is like.
As for Mr. Layton = Hugo Chavez, no debate there Gerry - it's pretty obvious from these links: http://youth.ndp.ca/node/88 http://www.cbc.ca/news/story/2005/12/07/Lauzon-NDP-051207.html http://www.stephentaylor.ca/archives/2006_08.html
"Maybe a Prime Minister Layton could arrange for a similar "transfer [of powers to the people]." Oops, I forgot. In Canada prime ministers already have close to dictatorial powers."
"Simply put, he can't really trigger a socialist revolution in this country. Why? Because somebody has already beaten him to it."
Perhaps I am wrongly assuming that you are referring to Harper indirectly in the article instead of Trudeau as 'dictatorial powers' is usually a leftist callsign to attack Harper? Are you indirectly referring to Trudeau?
