Petticoat Junction
You may remember another show produced by Sherwood Schwartz, creator of The Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island. The time-traveling astronauts-meet-cavemen comedy "It's About Time" ran for only one season ('66-'67), but should be given special mention because it had two premise-explaining themes! In an attempt to boost ratings the producers changed the concept mid-season, and along with it, the theme song.
Vitruvius -- yes of course, Petticoat Junction, how could I forget about those cute babes in the water tower?!
And anonymous -- here's how old I am -- I do remember that short-lived show. It's about time, it's about space ....
Ah, they don't make shows like that anymore!
