Had a chance to meet former Conservative and now Liberal MP Garth Turner on the Michael Coren Show yesterday.
On a couple of occasions we clashed on the show, and a couple of times we agreed.
And I knew he was going to blog about the show, but I didn't know he was going to blog about me!
Check it out.

... Well Gerry, that was a very nicely written tribute.
Gerry:
So, what seems to be implied here is that our prime minister had something to do with your firing from the NCC?
Is this the same man who kicked Garth Turner out of the CPC?
Who forced the longest serving conservative in the country, Bill Casey, to quit the CPC over principle?
Who tried to partner with the CPP in trying to force a regime change for the Premier of Newfoundland?
Who sat in the 2003 Bilderberg meeting with Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, Conrad Black and Mark Steyn?
Who ordered the RCMP to remove members of the national media from the lobby of a hotel in Charlottetown?
Whose Calgary school freinds aided in the funding of the Friends of Science, a group of climate change skeptics who have not been published in the last few decades? decades?
What can I say? I am just shocked by the news about your predicament at the NCC!
oopppsss! I forgot to add some:
Who is planning to develop military bases in the Arctic in an attempt to stake a claim for the drilling rights to the estimated 25% of the world's remaining oil supplies? Oil that would only be drillable if the ice caps melt.
Sounds like a man who is deeply concerned about global warming and the melting of the polar ice caps to me.
But, I digress. You getting fired from the NCC was one of the worst thing that Harper was ever involved with.
Well, except writing that letter to the Wall Street Journal in 2003 saying that as Canadian PM, he would send Canadian troops to Iraq.
Oh, and lying to the Canadian public about the "Canadian Intelligence" suggesting Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction.
And... oh, unilaterally altering the Atlantic Accord, abrogating Kyoto and cancelling the Kelowna Accord.
After all that stuff, I am still shocked that you were fired for criticizing our PM. What were you thinking?
